Olsens Lookout is situated between Jindabyne and Khancoban on the Alpine Way. The lookout is via a 10klm gravel road, the turnoff situated approximately 85 klms from Jindabyne or 40 klms from Khancoban. The gravel road can be easily driven by a convential 2WD vehicle.
The lookout is spectacular taking in the Alpine ranges and looking over Mt Perisher and Mt Koscuiszko. We were there in August 2009 when the ranges were snow capped. In summer the view would be equally impressive.
Get out and have a look, this one is worth the effort.
