G’day all,
With disappointment we leave this magical campsite on the banks of the Mersey River in Tasmania. This campsite is special. You can camp within a few metres of the river on a grassy bank that is almost level. With a tiny bit of work we had the offroad van sitting nicely.
While you are here you enjoy the peaceful noise of the forest and cascading rapids just a stones throw from where you sleep. Looking out from camp you can see a beautiful forest vista and delightful stony river. Did I mention on an evening you can relax with the sun on your back watching playful Platypus and trout jumping out of the water chasing insects…simply…awesome.
During the day, take a swim, fish or just relax. If you want to get out and about you are 20mins away from spectacular lookouts and caves. Within 45 minutes you can be in Devonport or Deloraine.
You really need to try this one and enjoy the simple pleasures in life.
