Awesome, if you like 4WD’in then Tassie has it all. Wow, how long I have dreamed to get to Tassie for both the awesome scenery and great 4WD’in. We board the Spirit Of Tasmania tonight at 6:30pm and arrive in Devonport at 6:00am the next day. Once we arrive, we will spend a couple of days in Devonport, make some plans and then off to explore the West Coast Wilderness. We will catch up with some of the Tassie 4WD Clubs and hopefully they will take us to some of their special spots.
Well lots to pack after a week in Melbourne. It was great to experience time in the City…we will definately be back! Lynda has a date with all the shopping outlets. We achieved everything we needed to in the City. The Patrol is fixed and we are good to go. Saying we achieved everything we needed to doesn’t include the many sights we still need to see but they will have to wait until Tassie has been explored.
We’ll be back…

So hows the van goin – webpage not bad and starting to track u.

Hey Mr Gadget,
Good to hear from you. The van is awesome…heavy but very comfortable and very capable of going anywhere the car will tow it. We arrived in Tassie this morning after a rather bumpy, rocky ride on the ferry. Lynda and Amy got sea sick. The countryside here is amazing and I can’t wait to get out there and do some 4Wd’in. A few probs with the Patrol the result of someone turning the power up too much. The EGT’s combined with too much boost basically killed the turbo. I also changed the rear springs. Went for some 350kg heavy duty 6″ springs, left the spacer in there to compensate for the load when hooked up. It was a good result with the van and car now setup very level.
Looking forward to some fresh water fishing here now that I have been taught some basics. Did you get the web address to the 4wd club…Gadget for president I say…only joking, I am sure Macca will do a fantastic job.
Keep in touch hey!
