Waking up late after watching the tennis Bushman Bud decided he wanted to see how quick he could complete the loop circuit.  The challenge was to go down the forest track, up the forest staircase (I counted 693 steps today) and back along the main lookout track.  This proved to be a challenge and 20 minutes of hard work certainly gave the heart a work out!  Got to say the lookout was as spectacular as yesterday.

Arriving back at the van it was time for breakfast, a hot chocolate for the girls and a reflective coffee for Bushman Bud.

Righty oh then, off to the Leven Canyon floor, cross the river and continue onto Devils Elbow.  Catch up on this part of the adventure by following this link: http://bushmanbud.com/sight-seeing/leven-canyon-part-ii-tasmania/

What can I say other than what an amazing vista and playground!  Really for me the fun and the amazing scenery started once you got to the bridge over the canyon.  The track becomes more challenging and when you get to Devils Elbow the scenery is awesome.

We had a fantastic time rock hopping the many boulders back and across the river several times as well as exploring the many smaller rocks and water pools.  This was a great day out and one we will treasure as a great time spent as a family.

We are having dinner now and then heading back to Ulverstone to meet with the Ulverstone 4WD club where we can catch up with some like minded people and hopefully get on a trip or two…
