Finally the beast is back on the road after the professional care and attention of Turbo Engineering (Thomastown, Melbourne). The repair bill came in at $1,850 thanks to a severly damaged turbo and poor work done by a certain Brisbane mechanic. On Monday I will be following up reimbursement of most of that charge from them, so keep posted to find out whether they honor their guarantee.
Anyway back on the road, fortunately no damage to the engine, the Patrol has its power restored plus some. Towing the offraod van will be a whole pile better now. Ready to take on Tassie…
