After lunch at Tumblegum to shed the New Years drinks and celebration, Bushman Bud, Lovely Lynda, Joey Jess and Orangatang Amy took a walk in the gorgeous Springbrook National Park heading to the Natural Bridge.  This is a unique place, located in the heart of the Tweed Valley and volcanic rim.  In fact this is one of my favourite place.  The Natural Bridge comes from water cascading down a creek and then funnelling through a massive hole in the rock bed creating a waterfall of 30m which falls into a small cave full of glow worms before the water continues its path down the valley…awesome.

There are viewing platforms everywhere and a loop walk trail which can be easily negotiated.  The path is bitumen and zig zags up and down the valley.  There are a few stairs and all in all it is an easy walk for the family.  All ages and fitness levels are well catered for.  The Natural Bridge is located about 45 minutes from Nerang.

This is a must do and can be combined with a walk in Springbrook’s other attractions being a massive waterfall (which you can walk under) and the “Best  of all lookouts.”

Get out and enjoy this amazing spot.
